Services, what we do…

Prevention and Diversion

When homelessness is imminent, we work to avoid the trauma of families losing their housing through:

  • Case management and community support
  • Rental and utility assistance, deposits (typically 1 time only)
  • Landlord mediation
  • Transportation/Gas Cards
  • Identifying alternative housing

Shelter Program

When families have lost housing and reach out to Family Promise, we provide alternatives, including:

  • Creative solutions in leveraging a family’s strengths
  • Nighttime shelter is provided at a host site, where families sleep at the same location during their short-term stay. Evening meals and hospitality are provided by volunteers from support churches on a rotating basis.

Family Promise Day Center

During the day, guest families and individuals served through FPRC work with professional Family Promise staff and interns to find housing and to work on related goals such as employment, transportation, education, and childcare.  The Day Center serves as the base for families, offering a mailing address and providing laundry facilities, computers, playrooms and showers.
